Why visit Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey?
The Abbey is the principal monument of Mont-Saint-Michel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perched at the summit of the island, the building is a remarkable blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture developed over centuries. Inside you’ll discover cloisters, vaulted halls and narrow stairways that reveal the site’s extraordinary history.
The visitor route climbs to the top and rewards you with panoramic viewpoints over the bay — many of them offering 360° vistas that are perfect for photography and quiet contemplation. The Abbey’s cloister and the “Merveille” wings are highlights of the visit.
